Responsibilities
- Aid in coordinating across all installation agencies to prepare infrastructure, facilities, and services necessary for the new mission organization to achieve Initial Full Operating Capability (I/FOC) with minimal disruption.
- Provide technical support to facilitate the coordination and integration of various plans, operations, timelines, and deliverables in support of a unified operational plan.
- Support both Facility Sustainment Restoration & Modernization (FSRM) and Military Construction (MILCON) programs by assisting with facility space needs to ensure Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) acquisitions are completed promptly.
- Offer recurring updates to senior leadership on projected service interruptions and share success stories.
- Assist with beddown coordination activities involving HQ, Squadron, Group, Wing leadership, DoD partners (such as USACE), contractors, and multiple agencies on the installation.
- Prepare architectural and space planning solutions, including creating architectural drawings and reviewing design intent drawings.
- Provide facilities, furnishings, equipment, and space management support to assist government-led planning, acquisition, installation, and utilization efforts.
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, and communications.
- Contribute to the review of architectural and space planning solutions.
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure space utilization and interior design solutions comply with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, safety regulations, Air Force policies, and end-user needs.
- Complete weekly and monthly internal and external reporting.
- Create project briefings and presentations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Five years of related experience and two years of directly related USAF or DOD installation facility space planning/analysis experience is highly desirable.
- A Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field is desirable.
- Knowledge of furniture procurement and installation.
- Ability to coordinate planning for IT, Security, Furniture procurement and configuration, and construction.
- Analytical skills relevant to facility optimization, space planning, and cost savings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, GeoBase, and other CAD programs used for drawing, modeling, and designing.
- Experience in gathering data to solve complex technical problems and following established project procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with interpersonal skills.
- Experience with various IT systems is desired.
Qualifications
- Must be a United States citizen with a clear background for a government security investigation to obtain a clearance or Common Access Card (CAC).
