About the role
This position supports districtwide school facility planning and growth management by analyzing school capacity, development impacts, and facility needs. The role uses demographic data and analytical tools to develop reports, coordinate planning projects, and guide decision-making related to school facilities and educational programs.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes school capacity, development impacts, and facility needs using demographic data and analytical tools.
- Develops reports and coordinates planning projects related to school facilities and educational programs.
- Guides decision-making related to school facilities and educational programs based on analysis and reports.
Qualifications/Certifications
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institute in planning, architecture, engineering, business administration or other related field.
- REFERRED/DESIRED: Experience in school facilities planning, urban planning and/or local government planning.
- REFERRED/DESIRED: Experience in use of Geographic Information Systems to analyze data.
- REFERRED/DESIRED: Knowledge of Florida Department of Education framework for school facilities.
- REQUIRED: Valid State Driver’s License.
- PREFERRED/DESIRED: American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) or ability to obtain Other credentials that may be related to KSAs and Essential Functions of the job.
