Facilities Planner
About the role
We are seeking a Facilities Planner for our client site in Groton, CT. The role is full-time, Monday-Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional and customer-oriented relationships with team members, internal and external customers and service providers, and building occupants.
- Provide logistical coordination with other facility partners, such as the science lines, projects group, and asset management.
- Walk down and investigate systems to determine impacts to end users.
- Submit site-wide communications through customer share point site.
- Partner with business customers to reconcile vendor conflicts, coordinating corrective actions until resolution is complete.
- Maintain proficiency in CMMS work order system to update equipment history and access material inventory management system.
- Schedule work with Service departments, print appropriate work orders when scheduled, track and report on the completion of work.
- Estimate work order completion times and compare to actual performance.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as requested.
- Support safety program as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of experience in business administration, technical operations, or a related technical role in facility management, maintenance planning, Operations, engineering, or construction environment.
- Demonstrated experience in a high visibility customer service role with multiple customer streams.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to obtain site specific security access including all applicable background checks.
- Technical degree preferred.
- Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses.
- Experience working with industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus.
- Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, i.e., listening to customer needs, articulating path forward and giving solutions that provide value to the customer, etc.
- Accurately document electronic and paper cataloging system to provide information to customer or regulatory personnel.
- Strive for quick complaint resolution; to resolve problems on the first call and avoid escalation of issues through operational knowledge.

Pay
$70,000 - $80,000 annually.
