About the role
This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and operate facility security systems and processes for access control (ACS), intrusion detection (IDS) and electronic surveillance (ESS)
- Operate Avigilon (ESS) in support of facility operations and security manager directed investigations
- Monitor, test and report status of security system to the Command Security Manager
- Conduct semi-annual test per ICD-705 requirements
- Respond, assess, troubleshoot, repair and/or triage security system components as needed
- Report deficiencies and outages with Security Manager and Facility Ops
- Perform routine system maintenance, repair and modernization of system components to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 operation
- Coordinate with the Command Security Manager, Network engineers, Information Security Manager and Security Specialist as required to manage security system networks and components
- Assist with annual physical security inspection of facility compound and building perimeters
- Support configuration management of facility data closet equipment related to behind the wall voice/data infrastructure from the communication closet to the wall port
- Administer and control the issue of unclassified voice handsets and perform minor system maintenance in coordination with the system administrator, network manager and engineers
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience
- Basic technical knowledge (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance) and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment
- A general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations
- Able to handle multiple priorities and work independently
