Facilities Mechanic I - FOD Cleaning Specialist

About the role

The Facilities Mechanic 1 - FOD Cleaning Specialist is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various manufacturing, laboratory, cleanroom, shop, and general housekeeping areas. Duties include routine custodial operations in electronic manufacturing environments, such as floor care of standard and ESD flooring, floor refinishing, carpet cleaning, preventative maintenance, and general custodial tasks. The role involves the use of industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Routine custodial operations in electronic manufacturing areas
• Inspection and determination of cleanliness conditions
• Preventative maintenance of machines and tools
• General floor care of standard and ESD flooring
• Refinishing and carpet cleaning
• Non-custodial related general maintenance activities

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in custodial, janitorial, or general maintenance positions
• Experience with floor care of resilient flooring, carpet, and tile
• Aptitude to inspect cleanliness conditions and perform appropriate processes
• Ability to work second shift
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently while meeting predetermined requirements
• Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• General computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in electronic manufacturing environments
• Experience working in ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) sensitive areas
• Experience working in FOD (Foreign Object Debris) sensitive areas
• Experience working in cleanrooms

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $40,000 - $64,000
