About the role

The Facilities Mechanic 1 - FOD Cleaning Specialist position is dedicated to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various manufacturing, laboratory, cleanroom, shop, and general housekeeping areas. This role involves performing routine custodial operations in electronic manufacturing environments to meet specific cleanliness and frequency standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of manufacturing, laboratory, cleanroom, shop, and general housekeeping areas.
• Perform routine custodial operations, including floor care of standard and ESD flooring, floor refinishing, and carpet cleaning.
• Preform preventative maintenance of machines and tools.
• Carry out general custodial duties.
• Use industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment in daily operations.
• Occasionally perform non-custodial related general maintenance activities.
• Inspect cleanliness conditions, determine needs, and preform appropriate processes.
• Work independently while meeting predetermined requirements.
• Use industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Communicate verbally and in writing.
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Utilize general computer skills.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in custodial, janitorial, or general maintenance positions.
• Floor care experience with resilient flooring, carpet, and tile.
• Aptitude to inspect cleanliness conditions and determine appropriate processes.
• Ability to work 2nd shift.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently while meeting predetermined requirements.
• Experience working in electronic manufacturing environments.
• Experience working in ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) sensitive areas.
• Experience working in FOD (Foreign Object Debris) sensitive areas.
• Preferred experiences include working in cleanrooms.

Qualifications

• High School/GED level education.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Clearance Level - Must currently possess none.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret U.S. Person clearance.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $40,003 - $64,006. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
