About the Role
As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium-sized buildings. This role is part of the Facilities Management functional area, focusing on all aspects of asset operations and supporting Property Managers with repairs and investment plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training, development, performance evaluations, and coaching.
- Oversee recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and daily team activities; assign tasks and cross-train staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines; mentor and coach as needed.
- Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
- Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
- Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations.
- Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
- Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures; review price quotes for procurement.
- Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
- Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Influence parties of shared interests to reach agreements.
- Apply knowledge of your discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Facility Management certification preferred.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement, and retention preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, or difficult information; convey performance expectations; and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills, including calculating percentages, fractions, and financial-related figures.
