Facilities Manager II
Primary Responsibility
Under the direction of the Campus Vice President and Director of Facilities, this position oversees facilities management and maintenance for a non-residential campus. Areas of responsibilities include maintenance and repair, custodial services, building safety and grounds.
Non-residential Campus Overview
- Maintains and repairs plumbing, heating, electric, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.
- Coordinates preventive maintenance and repair services.
- Manages water plant functions and construction projects.
- Serves as a campus liaison for new construction, renovations, and remodels.
Pre-requisites (Qualifications Standards)
- Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position, such as a Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience, or an Associate’s degree and three years of related experience, or a High School degree/GED and five years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Desired certifications and professional training include Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP), Facility Management Professional (FMP), and Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP).
- Knowledge of skilled trade principles, practices, and procedures; facilities and personnel management; budgeting; standard office equipment and software; and current technology used in facilities management.
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally, interpersonally, and in writing; perform, problem solve, and manage various facilities maintenance activities; manage and control budgets; organize; prioritize; supervise and delegate work; obtain and maintain a valid Colorado Driver License and other required credentials/licenses.
- Able to serve on-call duty as required.

Supervision Received
This position works under the direction of the Campus Vice President and the Director of Facilities.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position may supervise full-time, part-time, and/or student employees.
Special Conditions of Employment
- Successful completion of a background check including motor vehicles records check is required.
- The position will require travel and evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
- Incumbents in this position will adhere to all safety and compliance policies of Colorado Mountain College while performing all duties assigned.

- Frequent reading/comprehending, writing, and performing calculations.
- Constant communicating orally, reasoning, and analyzing.
- Frequent work near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places.
- Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, work with machinery, and risk of electrical shock.
- Occasional vibration.
- Loud noise.
- Driving licensed and unlicensed vehicles.

Hiring Range
$88,663.76 - $98,515.29 annual salary depending upon a combination of education and experience.
