Facilities Manager I
About the role
The Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance and operation of apartment community building systems, ensuring they meet safety and operational procedures. They manage a team of maintenance workers, handle emergency calls, and perform regular inspections.
Responsibilities
- Set scope, technical specifications, budget, schedule, material, and equipment requirements for facility and maintenance projects.
- Anticipate and implement preventative actions to ensure safety and operational procedures are met.
- Manage and develop the maintenance team, including scheduling, duties, and performance.
- Direct and oversee all maintenance work orders and unit turns, providing excellent customer service.
- Complete unit inspections and maintain documentation.
- Organize and maintain supplies in a cost-effective manner.
- Pre-diagnose and troubleshoot various building systems before scheduling repairs.
- Perform on-call service requests and emergency calls as needed.
- Present an appropriate appearance consistent with the company's image.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Facilities Maintenance in Multifamily or Hospitality.
- Advanced experience in two or more trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, etc.
- Working knowledge of appliances.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification preferred.
- Boilers License preferred.
- Intermediate computer and Internet knowledge.
- Ability to use on-site resident management software.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- Accurately perform basic mathematical functions.

- Intermediate computer and Internet knowledge preferred.
- Ability to use on-site resident management software preferred.
- Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, reaching, and climbing.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus.
- Must detect auditory and/or visual alarms and work extended/flexible hours and weekends as needed.
- Must maintain a valid motor vehicle record (MVR) throughout employment.

$27.00-$31.00 per hour depending on experience.
Schedule

Skills
Professional experience in Facilities Maintenance, advanced trade experience, and a valid driver's license are essential. Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of on-site resident management software are helpful.
