About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of industrial manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial operations, manufacturing environments, facilities management, and engineering services. Experience in Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) and managing critical production-support systems is highly desirable. This role requires a strategic approach to managing client relationships, optimizing facility operations, ensuring operational reliability, and supporting production objectives while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of industrial manufacturing facilities, ensuring operations meet high standards of safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, plant leadership teams, facility managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular reviews of facility performance and implement strategies to meet operational, financial, contractual, and compliance objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to enhance client satisfaction, operational outcomes, and contract retention.
- Provide regular updates and performance reports to clients, highlighting achievements, opportunities, risks, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all facilities adhere to applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with site teams to implement and maintain safe work practices, procedures, and compliance programs.
- Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance and address any gaps or areas for improvement.
- Leverage engineering expertise to optimize facility operations, improve reliability, increase efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with facility teams to implement best practices, asset management programs, maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational enhancements and support client business objectives.
- Manage budgets for assigned facilities, ensuring cost-effective operations and strong financial performance.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and business reviews to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth, value-added services, productivity improvements, and cost savings within the portfolio.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and qualified to pass a security screening and medical examination.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of eight years of experience in industrial manufacturing, heavy industry, utilities, or facilities management, including leadership responsibilities.
- Understanding of Lean management principles.
- Strong knowledge of industrial operations, maintenance programs, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), asset management, and safety management systems.
- Proven track record in account management, operations management, or client relationship management.
- Experience managing multi-site operations and large integrated facilities management contracts is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
