Facilities Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and day-to-day operations of our two company locations. This position is responsible for ensuring both facilities are well-maintained, compliant, and operating efficiently while coordinating maintenance activities, vendor relationships, and facility improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and appearance of two company facilities
Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and grounds
Complete general building maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other handyman-related work within skill level
Cookordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, inspections, and facility projects
Manage facility-related budgets, obtain vendor quotes, and recommend cost-effective solutions
Ensure compliance with OSHA, local building codes, environmental regulations, and company safety policies
Conduct routine facility inspections and proactively identify maintenance or safety concerns
Develop and prioritize maintenance schedules and facility improvement projects
Support office expansions, renovations, furniture installations, and workspace reconfigurations
Oversee building security systems, access control, lighting, HVAC, and other facility infrastructure
Cookordinate seasonal maintenance activities, including snow removal, landscaping, parking lot maintenance, and exterior upkeep
Respond promptly to facility-related requests and emergency maintenance issues
Maintain maintenance records, vendor documentation, and facility-related reports
Recommend and implement continuous improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance workplace safety
Qualifications
3+ years of facilities, maintenance, building operations, or construction experience preferred
Strong working knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical systems
Experience coordinating contractors and vendor relationships
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and safety documentation is preferred
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA safety training or related certifications
Trade school education or technical certifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
Experience managing facility improvement or capital projects
