Facilities Manager

LB&B Associates Inc. is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee our contract providing operations and mechanical maintenance services at US Census government facilities in Suitland, MD.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 5 years of recent (within the past 7 years) experience managing and supervising mechanical maintenance operations for large facilities (1,000,000 sq. ft or greater under one roof)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, building automation systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Responsibilities

• Direct the operations and maintenance (O&M) of all buildings covered by the contract
• Lead skilled trades, administrative, and support staff ensuring consistent, high-quality service
• Monitor, train, evaluate, and guide facilities personnel
• Oversee machinery, equipment, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) plans and recommend predictive projects
• Negotiate O&M contracts and manage vendor relationships, including qualifying new vendors
• Authorize purchases and manage maintenance supplies and repair parts
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and equipment, reporting needs for repair and replacement
• Ensure proper use of the CMMS for all contract buildings
• Meet regularly with customers, provide contract updates, and deliver required reports
• Maintain an excellent record of customer satisfaction
• Perform other duties as assigned
