Facilities Manager
Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of buildings, infrastructure, and industrial equipment across two manufacturing sites in Tulsa and Claremore, Oklahoma.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of both facilities, including buildings, grounds, utilities, and infrastructure systems.
- Manage service contracts and vendors for facility-related services (e.g., HVAC, janitorial, landscaping, and waste disposal).
- Coordinate facility improvements, expansions, and space utilization projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment across both sites.
- Lead the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, including:
- Manual and automated welding machines
- CNC and manual machining centers
- Oil flushing systems and related equipment
- Overhead bridge cranes and hoists
- Compressed air systems
- Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Maintain maintenance records and work orders using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Ensure operations comply with OSHA, EPA, local building codes, and fire/life safety regulations.
- Support EHS programs in partnership with safety and operations personnel.
- Support company-wide safety programs and emergency preparedness plans.
- Coordinate and document inspections, permits, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Supervise and support facility and maintenance personnel across Tulsa and Claremore sites.
- Assign and oversee work orders, monitor task completion, and provide hands-on support as needed.
- Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating service contracts and tracking performance.
- Facilitate communication and resource sharing between both locations.
- Develop and manage facility and maintenance budgets for both sites.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, energy efficiency improvements, and equipment lifecycle planning.
- Participate in strategic planning related to facility layout changes, capital investments, and long-term growth.
This position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.
Requirements
- 10+ years of facility or industrial maintenance management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and troubleshooting welding systems, CNC machinery, cranes, compressed air systems, and oil flushing equipment.
- Proven ability to manage maintenance teams and multiple facility priorities effectively.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC) and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), PMP (Project Management Professional), or equivalent.
Work Environment
Non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles typical of metal fabrication shops. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, paint masks/respirators (when required), and OSHA-compliant safety boots/shoes.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand for long periods, walk, reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for scheduled maintenance, projects, or emergency response. Frequent travel between the Tulsa and Claremore locations is expected.
