Facilities Manager

About the role

Fieldpiece Instruments is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee all aspects of maintaining and improving our facilities across the U.S. and global sites. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role requires a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on operational oversight.

Responsibilities

• Keep Fieldpiece’s facilities safe, functional, and production-ready through preventive maintenance, building systems management, and compliance with regulations.
• Lead capital projects as Fieldpiece’s owner’s representative, including ground-up construction, tenant improvements, and shell buildouts.
• Manage vendors and service contracts, oversee budgets, and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Partner with contractors, internal teams, and global sites to align projects and maintain compliance.
• Support global facilities operations by creating scalable standards, playbooks, and project support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of facilities management experience in manufacturing, R&D, or light industrial environments.
• Proven experience managing capital construction projects from scoping through closeout.
• Knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations and EH&S program management.
• Experience with facilities management systems (CMMS or equivalent).
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities management experience in a manufacturing, R&D, or light industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing capital construction projects from scoping through closeout in an owner’s representative or client-side capacity.
• Working knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations and EH&S program management.
• Experience managing vendor contracts and service agreements.
• Proficiency with facilities management systems (CMMS or equivalent).
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to keep leadership, internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors aligned across concurrent projects and day-to-day operations.
• Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Experience

• Supporting multi-site or international operations.
• Familiarity with NFPA, ADA, and California Title 24 requirements.
