Facilities Manager
About the role
Fieldpiece Instruments is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee all aspects of maintaining and improving our facilities across the U.S. and global sites. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role requires a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on operational oversight.
Responsibilities
- Keep Fieldpiece’s facilities safe, functional, and production-ready through preventive maintenance, building systems management, and compliance with regulations.
- Lead capital projects as Fieldpiece’s owner’s representative, including ground-up construction, tenant improvements, and shell buildouts.
- Manage vendors and service contracts, oversee budgets, and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Partner with contractors, internal teams, and global sites to align projects and maintain compliance.
- Support global facilities operations by creating scalable standards, playbooks, and project support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of facilities management experience in manufacturing, R&D, or light industrial environments.
- Proven experience managing capital construction projects from scoping through closeout.
- Knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations and EH&S program management.
- Experience with facilities management systems (CMMS or equivalent).
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of facilities management experience in a manufacturing, R&D, or light industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing capital construction projects from scoping through closeout in an owner’s representative or client-side capacity.
- Working knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations and EH&S program management.
- Experience managing vendor contracts and service agreements.
- Proficiency with facilities management systems (CMMS or equivalent).
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to keep leadership, internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors aligned across concurrent projects and day-to-day operations.
- Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Experience
- Supporting multi-site or international operations.
- Familiarity with NFPA, ADA, and California Title 24 requirements.
