About the role

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of energy production facilities, including commissioning, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, budgeting, financial performance, EHS, efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction. They lead site safety performance, investigate near misses and incidents, and manage employee schedules and training.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of energy production facilities
  • Drive plans and actions to meet site objectives and customer contract KPIs
  • Lead site safety performance
  • Investigate near misses and incidents, implement corrective actions
  • Build and maintain positive relations with key customer management and staff employees
  • Develop comprehensive understanding and adherence to customer contracts
  • Manage orientation, training, and development plans
  • Oversee profit and loss performance
  • Manage the overall health of the preventative maintenance system
  • Coordinate work with subcontractors
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive monthly reports
  • Verify all customer invoices and submit time and material invoices
  • Support ESPC and Above Baseline projects
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement preventive measures
  • Complete all training modules as required
  • Perform operator responsibility coverage as needed

Requirements

  • A high-level understanding of boiler and HVAC systems
  • Five or more years (5+) related experience in Energy Services, Performance Contracting, and/or HVAC industry
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Extensive field experience installing, repairing, maintaining, and modifying boilers and HVAC systems
  • Demonstrated strong safety background and focus to ensure zero incidents in hazardous environments
  • Experience troubleshooting relevant equipment and systems
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of facility energy infrastructure
  • Experience with energy conservation practices, facility operation and maintenance, and other ancillary building systems and equipment

Qualifications

  • Associates or technical degree
  • Ten years’ related experience
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • NILULP Class IV Power Engineer certification (or higher)
