About the Role
The Facilities Manager ensures the safety, sanitation, and mechanical functionality of all campus facilities, including both interiors and exteriors of buildings.
Responsibilities
- Model Biblical Priorities:
- Uphold Biblical priorities and core values of Community of Hope.
- Represent a growing personal relationship with Christ.
- Model strong relationships with spouse and children (if applicable).
- Demonstrate integrity in words, relationships, and actions by:
- Living into the Ministry Leader Ethos Statement.
- Committing to a daily quiet-time with God.
- Participating in a Community of Hope small group regularly.
- Setting boundaries to protect character and integrity.
- Developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
- Committing to all discipleship expectations of staff members.
- Monitor ongoing Preventative and Deferred Maintenance programs for:
- Major mechanical and electrical systems.
- Grounds, buildings, and other areas (e.g., wall repair, painting, HVAC maintenance).
- Daily custodial support (e.g., replacing soap, toilet paper, paper towels).
- Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Participate in the Sunday Facilities Team Member Rotation.
- Perform other related assignments given by the Director of Facilities.
- Inventory management:
- Update, count, and replenish supplies and tools.
- Maintenance:
- Knowledge of maintenance programs for all equipment.
- Understanding of permitting and testing for Fire Extinguishers, kitchen Vent Hood, chair lift, etc.
- Operate equipment such as tractors with forklift/bucket attachments, 0-turn/stand-up mowers, and hedge trimmers.
- Support Team Culture:
- Collaborate with the facilities team to accomplish tasks aligned with the Mission Statement.
- Perform routine repair work and general maintenance for:
- Irrigation systems.
- Painting.
- HVAC maintenance.
- Janitorial duties.
- Floor care.
- Woodworking.
- Electrical and plumbing work.
- Facility Set-up:
- Plan, organize, direct, and control day-to-day room and facility set-up.
- Maintenance Ministry:
- Interact with all levels of the church and the public.
- Be sensitive and aware of ministry opportunities.
- Display hospitality, helpfulness, and courtesy to everyone on campus.
- Prioritize reaching the lost for Christ, recognizing that assigned duties may impact lives spiritually.
- Budget:
- Help manage the maintenance budget by seeking economical solutions while completing tasks.
Requirements

Qualifications
- Educational and/or additional certifications in related duties are preferred.
- Teachability and willingness to learn are required.
