Facilities Maintenance Tech IV - Electrician

About the role

The Electrician role supports day-to-day operations, preventive maintenance activities, capital projects, and emergency response efforts to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant facility operations across multiple Massachusetts facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect electrical systems and equipment
  • Support equipment reliability initiatives and minimize downtime
  • Work closely with Facilities, EHS, Engineering, and external contractors
  • Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment
  • Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment
  • Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Facilities/Electrician experience
  • Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA requirements, and electrical safety standards including LOTO and arc flash protection
  • Experience using a CMMS system (eMaint, Maximo, SAP, or equivalent)

Nice to Have

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with technicians, contractors, engineers, and site customers
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and controls platforms such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, or Honeywell
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols or ISO-classified environments
  • Experience supporting medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cleanroom, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with ISO 8 cleanrooms and critical environmental systems
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training

Qualifications

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
