About This Role
Boston Scientific, Arden Hills campus consists of nearly 1.5M square feet of building space requiring maintenance and controls within various types of manufacturing areas. The Facilities Maintenance team are key to ensuring plant operation, function & repair of facilities systems, and act as a Service to all site employees while sustaining a safe, efficient and comfortable workplace. This role acts as a building engineer with heavy focus on controlled environment operations & controls.
Hours: Monday to Friday from 7AM - 3:30PM. This position also requires on-call 24/7 responsibilities. On average, 1 week duration per month.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine maintenance of plant and/or office infrastructure (HVAC & process systems) by using hand or power tools as required.
- Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs facility infrastructure and equipment and reports problems to supervisor as appropriate.
- Capability to navigate a building management system (BMS), modify controls, and support in low-voltage wiring.
- Works with outside contractors on facilities and equipment repairs.
- Manage maintenance programs, processes, or work instructions to create efficient workflow.
- Support 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to infrastructure or system trouble alarms to troubleshoot and implement immediate adjustments or repairs.
- Makes routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
- Monitor and control environmental parameters for a variety of manufacturing room conditions utilizing a state-of-the-art building management control system.
- Support the execution of infrastructure installation to ensure system functionality and commissioning are meeting the highest level of execution.
- Performs work in more than one of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding, for the construction, repair, and/or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures.
- Performs plant and/or office facilities maintenance duties such as fixing flooring, walls, ceiling, lights, doors, etc.
- Maintain mechanical and electrical areas in an organized and clean manner, including support in exterior facilities clean up.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience with Associated degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
- Requires Special Class Boilers License or the ability to obtain upon hire
- Must have Building Management System experience
- Microsoft Office, Digital Equipment PM’s, and Building Management Systems
- Bring Diverse Mechanical Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
- Valid driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience
- Advanced HVAC, Boiler, or Chiller Training/Certifications
- Customer Service and Work Order Experience
- Experience doing facility maintenance work for a manufacturing site
Pay
Minimum Salary: $55,432
Maximum Salary: $94,224
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
