Facilities Maintenance Supervisor- Hillcrest (FT- 1.0 FTE, Day Shift)

Responsible for planning, directing, organizing, monitoring, and staffing departmental services in compliance with regulatory agencies, DNV, and hospital administrative team standards. Ensures effective and efficient acquisition and upkeep of equipment, grounds, utilities, and facilities to provide a safe and effective environment that contributes to community health and quality of life.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Montana Licensure (Boiler), 3rd class or ability to obtain within nine (9) months of hire (required).
  • Three (3) years of maintenance experience (required).
  • One (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience (preferred).
  • Prior experience within a healthcare facilities department (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assists department leadership with broad operations to ensure provision of comprehensive departmental services in compliance with all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements.
  • Ensures a collaborative departmental approach to long-range strategic operational planning, care and service design, and development of organizational policies reflecting the mission of the organization.
  • Coordinates and oversees organization-wide departmental services, continuously assessing, measuring, and improving departmental performance.
  • Demonstrates responsible management of all departmental resources and ensures staff professional needs are met.
  • Leads, teaches, inspires, and consistently demonstrates hospital behavioral standards.
  • Manages work order intake, prioritization, and assignment; monitors response and completion; ensures timely closeout and accurate documentation.
  • Coordinates and oversees day-to-day and scheduled maintenance work while partnering with clinical and operational teams to minimize disruption and maintain a safe environment of care.
  • Works hands-on with the team and contractors, performing daily operational duties as needed to ensure work orders and projects are completed timely.

Schedule

  • Regular and sustained attendance required.
  • May necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

  • Fine-Finger Movements (Continuously): Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than using the whole hand as in handling.
  • Vision (Occasionally): Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures and to read computer screens, printed materials, and handwritten materials.
  • Cognitive Skills (Continuously): Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.
  • Exposures (Repeatedly): Bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, medications, infectious diseases, and cleaning products.
