About the role

This position assists with daily maintenance and repair issues across all campus buildings, including structural components, electrical work, plumbing, roofing, carpentry, painting, welding, parking lot maintenance, departmental and furniture moves, and other tasks as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and/or Director of Corporate Facilities and Services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all HVAC units at corporate office buildings monthly, including filter changes and coil cleanings.
  • Assist in departmental moves, including disassembling and setting up cubicles, offices, movable partitions, office furniture, and equipment at corporate offices or distribution centers.
  • Perform electrical work as needed for corporate office buildings.
  • Handle routine plumbing tasks, such as inspecting, installing, repairing, and replacing pipes, fittings, fixtures, unclogging sinks and toilets, and repairing faucets.
  • Assist with general maintenance, including changing lights, ballasts, painting, and carpentry.
  • Maintain grounds of corporate office buildings, including trash removal, weed control, and snow clearing (including salting walks and stairs).
  • Use handheld devices and mobile apps to create and close work orders with appropriate data.
  • Provide after-hours emergency assistance, responding within 30 minutes as directed.
  • Maintain building and public area conditions to ensure smooth operation of departments and equipment.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid Class E driver’s license (or willingness and ability to obtain one).
  • Work experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, painting, and general ground maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, landscaping/grounds keeping, and maintaining equipment/vehicles.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an applicable field.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs; walk, kneel, stand, squat, twist, and bend for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Qualifications
