The Facilities Coordinator ensures efficient planning and execution of maintenance activities across Tesla’s R&D facilities. This mid-level role focuses on optimizing resource allocation, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with company standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity
- Coordination of preventative maintenance and repair tasks across diverse facilities systems and equipment
- Development, updating, and validating maintenance/calibration schedules for manufacturing facility equipment
- Generation of periodic reports on maintenance performance, including uptime metrics and cost savings
- Analysis of equipment breakdowns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for improved reliability
- Refinement of preventive maintenance (PM) protocols based on supplier guidelines and team feedback
- Management of work order lifecycle from creation to completion, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with facilities systems and equipment and/or prior experience as a planner or scheduler (2+ years preferred)
- Degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in PM development, KPI dashboards, and CMMS database systems
- Demonstrated ability in spare parts inventory management and technical documentation
- Project management experience with a focus on cost-saving facility improvements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and fluency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong written/verbal communication and organizational abilities

Expected Compensation: $18.40 - $57.60/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
