Facilities, Maintenance Manager (ONSITE - TUCSON)

About the role
RTX Enterprise Real Estate Services (ERS) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead team supervisors and hourly workforce supporting 5 million square feet of manufacturing and office space in Tucson. This role provides daily oversight, direction, and leadership for Work Order Management, customer service, and budget adherence in a Union environment. The position involves coordination with customers on business interests and representing the Facilities department to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Represent Facilities and make decisions that commit resources and impact business operations.
- Communicate Facilities business decisions with clarity and understanding.
- Define and articulate the scope of work and requirements for Facilities actions to contractors and maintenance staff.
- Monitor critical facilities actions to completion.
- Advise subordinates or staff on common goals and tactical plans to solve problems.
- Maintain compliance with Safety training, laws, codes, and regulations.
- Assess risk and develop mitigation plans while ensuring progress.
- Manage an internal business portfolio consisting of hourly supervision and hourly Trades.
- Manage an assigned SAP business queue of work.
- Focus on the overall safety and wellbeing of all assigned team members.
- Collect, review, and broadcast overall team metrics.
- Follow all internal EHS guidelines to achieve a “zero-injury” workplace.
- Participate in an internal Standby Supervisor rotation (2-3 times per year), responsible for after-hours maintenance calls during a one-week period, including weekends.
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in facilities management and a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of work experience and schooling).
- 8+ years’ experience supervising or leading building repair and maintenance activities for building infrastructure.
- 2+ years’ experience in a CMMS system such as the Plant Maintenance module of SAP or related.
- 5+ years’ experience in facility management, facility engineering, or construction management.
- 1+ years’ knowledge of production equipment and building infrastructures related to electrical-mechanical maintenance activities.
- 1+ years’ understanding of Reliability Engineering and Predictive Maintenance technologies (PdM).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, plumbing systems, tools, equipment, codes, and safety procedures; SAP/CMMS Operation.
- Strong understanding of commercial infrastructure, including BAS, Electrical Distribution, Mechanical, and Fire Life Safety Systems.
- Experience working with Bargaining Unit employees.
- Experience with Power Logic power monitoring, Building Automation and controls (Siemens and JCI).
- Ability to work after-hours as needed.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD. The range is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Schedule
This is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. Employees in onsite roles, including production and maintenance, work primarily onsite. Participation in an after-hours Standby Supervisor rotation (2-3 times per year) is required, including weekend coverage during the assigned week.
