About the role

The Principal Specialist, Facilities - Maintenance/Planner/Scheduler position is critical to the Facilities-Maintenance operations at the Integration and Test Facility in Tucson, Arizona.

Responsibilities

  • Following all safety and security protocols.
  • Planning and scheduling Facilities-Maintenance work orders for RMD Trades assigned to ITF and CGO operations.
  • Serving as a liaison between Skilled Trades Supervisors and hourly skilled trades technicians.
  • Providing technical assistance to team members as required.
  • Ordering preventative maintenance and equipment spare parts proactively and as needed.
  • Supporting Skilled Trades Supervisors with day-to-day activities of bargaining unit employees assigned to ITF Building 864.
  • Inputting and extracting data from SAP Prism Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Collect, monitor and present Facilities-Maintenance performance metrics.
  • Sustainment and maturation of key performance indicators and establishing strategic direction for work order management in collaboration with ITF and other Facilities-Maintenance Trade Supervisor teams.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in facilities or operations and a bachelor's degree in facilities, engineering, construction business or related field or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
  • 3 years’ experience in a CMMS system such as the Plant Maintenance module in SAP, Maximo, etc.
  • 3 years’ experience working cross-functionally with leadership, customers, and hourly skilled trades technicians.
  • 3 years of broad knowledge of production equipment and building infrastructures related to Skilled Trades maintenance activities.
  • 3 years of knowledge and understanding of Reliability Engineering and Predictive Maintenance technologies (PdM).

We Prefer

  • Familiarity with electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems, tools, equipment, codes and safety procedures.
  • Computer literate and solid ability to learn computer applications.
  • Ability to work well within a team and to foster teamwork with both external and internal customers and to communicate and articulate business goals, company policies, terms and conditions and risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to create error-free purchase requisitions for hourly skilled trades, Supervisors, Managers and our Reliability Engineering team and track company vehicle maintenance and schedule services and repairs and support planned maintenance shutdowns throughout the year.
  • Ability to work on Holidays and during the Christmas/Holiday shutdown.
  • Ability to be a member of our Standby Supervisor roster and work assigned weekends as scheduled during the CY.
