FACILITIES MAINTENANCE MANAGER
About the Role
Assists in the development and organization of maintenance systems and departments for new and existing facilities. Oversees renovation projects and coordinates contractors and vendors. Develops and trains on facility emergency response policies and assists in emergency drills. Ensures preventative maintenance programs are in place and on schedule, and serves as a resource for life safety regulations. Sets up community work order systems and monitors compliance. Ensures cost containment and purchasing contracts are utilized to maintain budget. Serves as a backup to the facility maintenance director during vacations, holidays, and natural disasters. Assists with contract negotiations for life safety systems and preventative maintenance programs. Coordinates restorations, refurbishments, and insurance claim work. Visits properties regularly to assess facility maintenance procedures, processes, and safety compliance. Audits record-keeping of facility maintenance departments. Assists in the selection of outside vendors for contract repairs and preventative maintenance, ensuring all vendors meet liability and worker’s compensation insurance requirements.

- Reset fire alarm panels and pull stations.
- Turn off main power supply, water supply, and/or gas supply of each facility.
- Demonstrate knowledge of roof equipment, generators, and other facility equipment.
- Travel to all assigned communities as needed.
Requirements
- High school graduate with a valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a maintenance supervisor in SNF, AL, or other relevant healthcare operations.
- Recent construction project management experience.
- Working knowledge of current life safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Accessible to facility Administrators and Maintenance Directors.
- Ability to write and read with clarity to follow instructions.
- Must attend all required meetings and in-services.
