About the role
The Facilities Maintenance Manager oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records. Responsibilities
- Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures
- Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements
- Organize and plan building installments and refurbishments
- Supervise facilities staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors
- Handle insurance contracts
- Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol
- Employee training, meetings and audits
Requirements
- Facility project management and software experience
- Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Great leadership and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree preferred
- 4 years or more experience in facility management
- 2 years of janitorial experience preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional leadership experience
- Contract handling experience
- Strong attention to detail
