Facilities Maintenance Manager

About the role

Fortney Companies, Inc. is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee all general maintenance and enhancements for properties owned and operated in the La Crosse area. This role involves a dynamic, hands-on environment where no two days are the same, focusing on keeping properties in top shape.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, painting, floor finishing, snow removal, and outdoor maintenance for rental and retail spaces.
• Handle light electrical or plumbing tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized maintenance needs.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining efficient work schedules.
• Adjust to changing priorities, processes, and tasks as needed.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with service providers and contractors.
• Some travel required.

Requirements

• Ability to work across multiple aspects of building and landscape maintenance.
• Experience working in varied climate conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
