Job Summary
Overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment and systems, ensuring accurate documentation of all work performed.
Responsibilities
- A hands-on leader of the Maintenance staff assigning maintenance requests to matching skill-sets of staff.
- Demonstrating and teaching correct processes to staff, ensuring success.
- Prepare proper and accurate Maintenance Request Forms of all worked performed.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems.
- Maintain a routine of Preventative Maintenance and must Communicate larger issues to Management.
- Follow OSHA and Xanterra's environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures.
- Appropriately represent the company through high levels of professionalism, adhering to policy and procedure, and supporting the operational goals of the park.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 2 or more years in related field in hospitality or otherwise.
- Possess administrative and technical knowledge of Facilities Maintenance operations.
- Ability to efficiently communicate with staff, be self-motivated, and be able to work independently.
- Have a keen eye for details and problem solving.
- Possess a valid U.S. Driver's License and comply with Xanterra Safety Driver Program and Policy.
Work Environment:
- On property, indoor and outdoor
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Oversee location maintenance staff, in conjunction with the maintenance manager.
Physical Requirements include:
- May require the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations. OSHA standards require a clean-shaven face and medical screening.
- Walk distances over uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.
- Lift and carry a maximum of 51 pounds.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies, materials, and equipment throughout the day.
- Bend, stretch, reach, kneel, and crawl for extended periods of time.
- Working safely with required chemicals, tools, and equipment.
Pay
- $19.85/hr
Schedule
- Typical schedule is 40+ hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)
- Season Dates: August through September 2026 (exact dates vary by location)
