About the role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team and contribute to the smooth operations of our facility. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks to maintain and repair company facilities and grounds, ensuring our property is safe, clean, and operating efficiently. Our dealership has been rated a Top Minnesota Workplace in the Star Tribune for the last 6 years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, electrical repairs, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, storage rooms, and tools.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Conduct regular hot water boiler inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Snow removal and salt application when needed due to snowfall.
• Other duties assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

• Experience in facility maintenance, including knowledge of building systems and equipment.
• Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with managers and accomplish tasks.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Record keeping and basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
• Use hands and arms to handle, feel, or reach.
• Speak and hear.
• Use close vision abilities.
• Operate a vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
• Occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Noise level: Low to moderate.
