Facilities Laborer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing common areas, restrooms, and breakrooms.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, and carpet cleaners.
• Perform routine floor maintenance, including waxing and polishing.
• Aid in basic maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement, minor plumbing repairs, and other general facility upkeep.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning materials and report when replenishment is needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure and hazard-free environment.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the Facilities Manager.
• Collaborate with other facilities team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work.
• Basic knowledge of facility maintenance tasks.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• Valid drivers license and meets the company minimum driving standards.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift moderate weights.
