Facilities - HVAC Technician II - FT

About the Role

Under the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor, the incumbent adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains all HVAC equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
• Perform all preventive maintenance on systems and maintain applicable log books.
• Conduct walk-through inspections of all HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain quality of air, air flow, and temperature at on and off-site facilities; adjust valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.
• Record gauge readings, repairs completed, and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
• Maintain technical logs and record all relevant data as appropriate.
• Apply knowledge of Seminole Coconut Creek Casino’s policies, procedures, and schedules to ensure minimal interruption to business operations and prioritize projects appropriately.
• Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Perform all other related and compatible/non-compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess excellent hand/eye coordination as well as close vision.
• Must maintain current EPA Universal technician certification as required by 40 CFR part 82 subpart F.
• Must possess a basic mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to read, understand, and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams, and drawings.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or technical certificate as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience with commercial/industrial HVAC equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Prolonged periods of walking, reaching, climbing, and moving/carrying weight of up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to work in high/precarious places, be near fiberglass insulation, and electrical current.

Work Environment

• Possible exposure to electric shock and frequent work in high heat and cold weather conditions.
• Moderate noise level.
