About the role

The Facility Technician will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics, and locally generated instructions. Responsibilities include working on facilities, boiler systems, production equipment, HVAC systems, and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Work with, troubleshoot, and repair plant HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as HVAC units, dehumidifiers, boiler systems, and humidifiers.
• Installation of new equipment.
• 6S general shop upkeep, cleaning, or organizing.
• Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs boilers.
• Checkout and troubleshooting of boilers.

Requirements

• 2 years of related technical training and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant HVAC/industrial equipment maintenance experience.
• Valid state-issued Driver's License.
• Must obtain a Freon recovery license within two (2) years of employment.
• Proficient in reading electrical/mechanical schematics.

Skills

• Knowledge and understanding of service and installation processes of industrial equipment.
• Experience with respirator and breathing air devices, or work on fire/rescue teams.
• Experience or training in Mechanical, HVAC, Boiler, and/or Electrical (State License in any of these fields is a plus).
• Self-starter with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with engineering blueprints, process specifications, and building layouts.
