Facilities HVAC Technician
About the role
Ultradent, a global leader in oral health solutions, operates from seven state-of-the-art facilities covering nearly one million square feet. These facilities encompass manufacturing operations, cGMP spaces, shipping facilities, print shops, machine shops, analytical/quality control labs, and corporate offices.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine operations, maintenance, and repairs on physical plant systems/components
- Maintain clean work/shop areas to ensure facility operations run smoothly
- Follow inventory control and part procurement procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Provide courteous, accurate, and timely service to customers
- Perform technical maintenance duties, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and systems
- Conduct daily critical equipment checks
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on all mechanical equipment
- Monitor room temperatures using a Building Automation System (BAS)
- Perform minor building, equipment, and infrastructure repairs
- Address service requests completely and promptly
- Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles when assigned
- Pick-up and deliver materials as needed
- Participate in on-call schedule
- Offer cross-trade assistance when required
Requirements
- 3-5 years of HVACR service experience, ideally EPA certified
- Thorough knowledge of the refrigerant cycle
- Understanding of thermodynamic principles
- Understanding of Ohm's law and electrical theory
- Knowledge of duct sizing and air flow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Familiarity with power tools and safety requirements
- Basic math and computer skills

- Strong communication, people, and customer service skills
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in hazardous environments, and climbing ladders
