Facilities Engineer (Multiple Levels)

About the Role

We are seeking a Controls Engineer to oversee planning, design, and implementation of building control systems, including upgrades and new installations.

Responsibilities

• Manage BMS/BAS specifications, design, operation, and migration strategies.
• Support mechanical and electrical system operations such as HVAC, chillers, air compressors, and utilities.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and select materials, equipment, and contractors.
• Ensure controls architecture consistency across sites and analyze technology trends.
• Lead activities related to system upgrades, programming optimization, and standardization.
• Interact with engineering, maintenance teams, contractors, and external customers to meet operational needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Controls, or Electrical Engineering or related controls experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years in controls, project management, or facilities roles, with control systems architecture and programming experience preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge, effective communication, negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Work Environment

• Combines manufacturing and office settings, with potential travel for site reviews and project support.
• Willingness to work overtime and during shutdowns as needed.
