What you’ll do:

The Facilities Director of Joint Venture Restaurant Group will oversee and ensure that the company’s physical assets, buildings, grounds and equipment are optimally maintained in function, appearance and in compliance with all laws and regulations. This position will lead all aspects of the facility’s needs, including ongoing repairs and maintenance, as well as assist in and oversee new construction projects from inception on. The Facilities Director of Joint Venture Restaurant Group is expected to accomplish the following:

  • Develop, implement and execute all policy and procedures relating to the facilities and equipment of the company’s restaurants and buildings
  • Cook
  • Coordinate and manage projects with owners on new construction, as well as capital expenditure assignments and long-term projects and reviews contract bids
  • Conduct in-person periodic walkthroughs of each facility in order to establish Repair & Maintenance priorities based on standards of Quality, Safety, Cleanliness and Function
  • Inspect Exteriors, Interiors, Loading Areas, Trash Areas, Landscaping, HVAC Units, Furniture, Fixtures, Equipment, and Hoods
  • Support the Restaurant Teams, by reviewing the critical needs of the facility and ensure the implementation and monitoring of projects
  • Plan, organize, take action and follow up on all repairs, maintenance and cleaning functions
  • Check all repair work completed work by contractors and vendors
  • Maintain Janitorial Contractors and their schedules, continually assessing their scope of work, agreements, performance and costs
  • Support store organization & cleanliness by managing the cleaning crews in conjunction with each GM & CDC
  • Reviews and establishes Preventative Maintenance schedules with contractors for HVAC, Swamp Coolers, Refrigeration Units, Hot Line Equipment, Dish Machines, Water Heaters and Water Filtration Units
  • Monitor all service contracts and vendors. Assists in the selection of various vendors in regards to value and budget
  • Assess work performance of contractors as it relates to scheduled preventative maintenance and occurring repairs, resolving issues that may arise
  • Create a communicative, open environment with the Owners, Corporate Employees, CDCs, GMs and Managers.
  • Point person for SoCalGas, LADWP and any utilities.
  • Filing for any and all applicable equipment rebates when new equipment is installed with new projects or in existing projects
  • Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge of new maintenance techniques and programs
  • Maintains a resource library for maintenance related issues and programs. Oversees proper maintenance manuals and records, including MSDS books
  • Ensures that staff follow safe work practices and update OSHA binder in conjunction with the Director of Operations. Responsible for proper use and care of all company tools, equipment and vehicles
  • Offers recommendations regarding improvements to the overall facilities operations of the buildings and restaurants

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in facilities, building and construction recommended.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, Refrigeration, Restaurant Equipment and Hoods recommended

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00 - $95,000.00)
