Facilities Associate
Job Summary
Responsible for performing hands-on routine preventative and general maintenance on facilities infrastructure, equipment, and buildings across nine sites. This is a working “half handyman” position that reports directly to the Manager, Facilities. The role provides day-to-day support including basic troubleshooting, on-site vendor and contractor coordination, CMMS tracking, and other maintenance related tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs routine preventative maintenance and general hands-on repairs on buildings, equipment, and infrastructure (including basic HVAC troubleshooting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural items).
- Aids the Manager, Facilities with managing vendors and contractors: research and vendor selection, meeting them upon arrival, showing problem areas, clearly explaining issues, and ensuring work is completed correctly.
- Utilizes the CMMS to create, track, update, and close work orders; documents preventive maintenance; and maintains inventory of supplies, parts, and assets.
- Aids the Manager, Facilities with PO requests. Supports daily facilities operations and maintenance across all nine sites. Coordinates and supports maintenance of corporate and field facilities either directly or through service vendors (janitorial, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, furniture, landscaping, building controls, and structural repairs).
- Reviews invoices for services performed, verifies accuracy for payment, and works with vendors to correct any errors.
- Tracks and maintains inventory of supplies: lighting, filters, and other building/office supplies; places orders as needed.
- Participates in the planning, coordination, and implementation of various facilities projects.
- Demonstrates empathy and support for internal customer apprehension and alleviates concerns related to project or service impacts on their jobs, environment, or operations.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
- Availability to cover any work shift as needed; willing to be available after normal work hours related to facilities issues or conditions as needed.
- Works within a standard office environment, at construction project sites, and outdoors with travel daily between building locations with minimal long distance travel required.
- Physical labor required daily working on ladders, moving supplies, parts or materials, and completing service requests in support of Facilities service responsibilities.
- Some clean-up of work areas and resolving minor restroom plumbing issues required daily.
- Facilities has security responsibilities related to the physical security of the property. Must have a willingness to support security responsibilities falling under Facilities as needed.
