Facilities Associate

Schedule

Monday - Friday 1:30 - 10:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, vacuum, and wash walls, furniture, ceilings, bathrooms, meeting rooms, windows, doors, and associated equipment and fixtures
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and strip all floor surfaces
• Collect trash throughout the facility and transport to proper location
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, etc.
• Perform additional cleaning services as required
• Dispose properly of all public sanitation items in compliance with DigiKey's infectious waste control training

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Public sanitation compliance and/or infectious waste control training, preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
• Regular and consistent attendance due to the need to access physical equipment
• Able to work and communicate effectively in a team environment or individually with minimal supervision
• Able to understand and follow safety procedures
• Able to provide a professional and enthusiastic outlook and perspective
• Self-motivated to maintain a clean work environment throughout the facility
• Capable of working with varying cleaning liquids, powders, sprays, soaps, etc.
• Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success

Tools/ Systems/ Software

• Scrubber/Sweeper management
• Outlook
• Workday (will be trained on the job)

Physical Requirements

• Physical ability to perform a full range of cleaning and custodial duties, as well as the operation of cleaning equipment as required
• Capable of standing or walking the entire shift
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from the floor to shoulder height

Pay

The starting base pay rate for this position is: $20.00
