Summary

The Facilities Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the building through general custodial duties, delivering inter-office mail, and sorting mail from various locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete all internal Bank training as assigned and required.
  • Adhere to the Bank’s privacy and data security policies including safeguarding of sensitive information and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Exhibit the ability and desire to embrace and enhance the Bank culture.
  • Post all outgoing mail daily.
  • Sorts and delivers interoffice mail to all departments and branch locations.
  • Travel to all delivery sites using Bank-owned vehicle while maintaining a log of time.
  • Performs special deliveries and pickups from off-site locations.
  • Picks up and drops off mail at the post office.
  • Maintains a neat and organized mail room.
  • Use of own vehicle may be required. If so, mileage reimbursement will be provided.
  • Aid in training others on use of mail equipment and courier daily processes.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies.
  • Dust furniture and equipment.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.
  • Empties waste baskets and cleans outside receptacles.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies.
  • Cleans snow, ice and debris from sidewalk.
  • Water flowers and grass.
  • Change spring water bottle coolers.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Basic knowledge of the banking and financial services industry including federal laws and regulations.
  • Intermediate typing skills to meet the production needs of the position.
  • Intermediate math skills: the ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio, and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, read, analyze, and interpret documents and professional journals, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence, and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.

  • Occasionally stand, walk.
  • Use sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Close vision required.
