Facilities & Grounds Manager

Winvian Farm, Connecticut's premier Five-Diamond luxury resort, is located in Morris, CT. This role oversees the care and operation of our unique 113-acre property.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities & Grounds Manager to lead our Maintenance team. This is a full-time leadership position requiring flexibility to work weekends and holidays when needed and participate in an on-call rotation. The Facilities & Grounds Manager ensures the resort's buildings, guest cottages, grounds, staff housing, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop the Maintenance team while promoting a positive, accountable work environment.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, guest cottages, mechanical systems, utilities, staff houses, and grounds.
• Assign, prioritize, and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Track annual compliance inspections and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Plan and manage department budgets, capital improvement projects, and vendor relationships.
• Anticipate future maintenance needs and recommend long-term improvements.
• Assist with emergency repairs and respond to facility issues as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support resort operations.

Requirements

• Several years of facilities or property maintenance management experience.
• Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, and grounds maintenance.
• Experience leading and developing maintenance staff.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of septic and well systems is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
