Duties & Responsibilities
- Cookordinate laboratory activities
- Oversight of group work
- Presentation of slides and answering questions from students or individuals
- Relating laboratory activities to lecture material during each lab session
- Mentor teaching assistants during weekly preparation meetings
- Offer teaching demonstrations to help improve teaching skills
- Participation in mandatory weekly preparation meetings on Friday afternoons
- Grading assignments and assessments in a timely manner
- Keeping a record of student grades
- Contribution to lab set up and clean up
- Holding office hours
- Proctoring lecture exams
- Proctoring make-up assessments
- Participation in final grades meeting
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant or preceptor/tutor
- Great communication skills
- Great organizational skills
- Teamwork
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher required
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physiology or Biology-related field
- Completion of Human Anatomy and Physiology Course (parts I and II) with labs
- Teaching experience in anatomy and physiology as a graduate teaching assistant or preceptor/tutor
