Facilitator II - Physiology

Duties & Responsibilities

• Cookordinate laboratory activities
• Oversight of group work
• Presentation of slides and answering questions from students or individuals
• Relating laboratory activities to lecture material during each lab session
• Mentor teaching assistants during weekly preparation meetings
• Offer teaching demonstrations to help improve teaching skills
• Participation in mandatory weekly preparation meetings on Friday afternoons
• Grading assignments and assessments in a timely manner
• Keeping a record of student grades
• Contribution to lab set up and clean up
• Holding office hours
• Proctoring lecture exams
• Proctoring make-up assessments
• Participation in final grades meeting

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
• Teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant or preceptor/tutor
• Great communication skills
• Great organizational skills
• Teamwork

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher required
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physiology or Biology-related field
• Completion of Human Anatomy and Physiology Course (parts I and II) with labs
• Teaching experience in anatomy and physiology as a graduate teaching assistant or preceptor/tutor
