Face to Face Interpreter - Pashto / Pushto

About the role

As a face‑to‑face interpreter for Access 2 Interpreters, LLC, you will use your Pushto/Pashto and English language skills to assist clients during medical, social service and other types of appointments. The work is rewarding, offers good pay, and the more assignments you take the more you can earn.

Responsibilities

• Provide face‑to‑face interpretation for medical, social service and other appointments.
• Accurately convey information between English and Pushto/Pashto speakers.
• Accept assignments as they become available and manage your own workload.

Requirements

• Located in the Central Ohio area.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a federal criminal background check (fingerprint) and a 10‑panel drug screening (at no cost to you).
• Provide proof of completion of an accredited interpreter training program of at least 40 hours (e.g., Bridging the Gap, Access Academy, Court Interpretation, or a college/university certificate or degree in interpretation).
• Provide certification of bilingual proficiency or arrange and pay for a third‑party bilingual fluency evaluation through an accredited testing organization.

Qualifications

Fluency in English and Pushto/Pashto; completion of a recognized interpreter training program; ability to pass background check and drug screen; eligibility to work in the U.S.; residence in Central Ohio.
