Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Maintain a safety-first mindset in all work activities; recommend and support safety initiatives.
  • Read and interpret job order instructions for individual customer orders.
  • Select correct materials and quantities for each order.
  • Follow work instructions precisely to complete door packages.
  • Understand daily production goals and work at a pace that meets or exceeds requirements.
  • Inspect raw materials for defects or damage prior to machining.
  • Fabricate parts to precise dimensions using machine tools.
  • Select and run pre-set CNC programs per customer specifications.
  • Perform de-burring of products.
  • Determine offsets and adjust on-screen values to maintain tolerance.
  • Change and measure tooling as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to use basic math, including fractions, for measuring and calculating dimensions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with fine visual and manual skills.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to operate punch presses.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to read and understand layouts, shop orders, and process control documents.

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 3 years’ CNC and tooling experience is required.
  • Ability to read and understand machining & assembly drawings.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
  • Exposure to intermediate/loud noise is expected when working in the manufacturing environment.
  • The work environment is climate controlled.
