About the role
This position works under general supervision, coordinates, oversees and monitors activities within a specific factory function in Assembly. This person will report to a Section Manager.
Responsibilities
- Uses various tools provided in the work area to perform assembly duties and may include the use of lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs.
- Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, Standard Work and Built in Quality.
- Keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Maintains productivity and quality standards.
- Communicates potential build schedule, inventory or manpower issues and solutions to section manager.
Requirements
- Knowledge of assembly procedures, standard work schedules, quality requirements and build requirements in assigned work area.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive operations.
- Ability to live up to 35 lbs.
Qualifications
- Resume Required
- Must have an “Expected” or greater level of performance
- Previous experience in machine assembly experience
- Experience working with lean manufacturing principles such as following standard work, continuous improvement, eliminating waste, 5S and BIQ
Skills
- Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Advance problem solving/troubleshooting ability and root cause corrective action
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to read/write and interpret documents and follow standard work instructions
- Ability to retain and transfer knowledge to others

Pay
Pay Range: $25.75 - $32.95
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
Schedule
Openings available on 2nd shift: Monday – Friday, 3 pm – 11 pm. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization.
