Fabrication Operations Manager

Location: Gallaway, TN Job Type: Direct Hire Starting Salary: From $80,000/year (Higher compensation available based on experience.) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across two nearby fabrication facilities operating on multiple shifts. This leadership role is responsible for production, safety, quality, scheduling, equipment maintenance, shipping performance, and continuous process improvement while managing production supervisors and supporting a growing workforce. Responsibilities Oversee daily fabrication operations across multiple facilities and shiftsLead and support production supervisors and shop personnelEnsure compliance with safety standards and quality requirementsManage production schedules to meet shipping and delivery deadlinesMonitor equipment maintenance and facility operationsDrive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencySupport hiring, employee development, retention, and performance managementAssist with workforce planning, disciplinary actions, and succession planningCoordinate operations across receiving, inventory, CNC processing, fabrication, welding, paint, and shipping departmentsManage multiple fabrication projects simultaneously while maintaining production goals Qualifications 7+ years of structural steel fabrication experience5+ years of leadership experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or production environmentStrong knowledge of AWS D1.1 (CWI preferred but not required)Experience working in an AISC-certified fabrication environmentExperience managing large, heavy, and complex fabrication projectsKnowledge of SSPC and ASTM coating requirementsStrong understanding of fabrication operations, workflows, and production processesExcellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExperience overseeing multiple departments, including Receiving, Inventory, CNC Processing, Fabrication/Welding, Paint, and ShippingMust be authorized to work in the United States Benefits Monthly productivity bonusMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysRelocation assistanceMonthly cell phone reimbursement We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
