Fabric Production Finisher

Responsibilities

• Packaging and staging completed fabric orders.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain sewing machines.
• Maintain basic skills with industrial sewing techniques and equipment.
• Sew finishing of printed textiles to specific sizes and quality.
• Measure, cut, apply SEG, velcro and stitch using an automated sewing machine.
• Perform basic sewing machine maintenance.
• Fit and Quality Control all SEG fabrics into framing systems.
• Read and calculate department job ticket(s) information.
• Follow specific fabrication instructions as indicated by Work Orders, Clients, or Supervisors.
• Maintain inventory supplies as needed.
• Prepare final product for shipping and delivery to multiple locations.
• Create custom packaging when necessary.
• Maintain and safely use all Fabric Production finishing tools and equipment.
• Provide quality control at designated steps on the process.
• Perform other duties as assigned and directed by the Graphics Manager or Director.

  Qualifications

  • Automated stitching.
  • Communication skills.
  • Team work.
  • Read and understand a tape measure.
  • Machine maintenance.
  • Basic clean up of area.
  • High school or equivalent (preferred).
  • Sewing: 2 years (preferred).
