F&I Manager needed at Frederick Nissan

About the role

Frederick Nissan is growing and needs to add an additional Finance & Insurance Manager to their team. The F&I Manager performs vital functions including reviewing and confirming agreed-upon sales figures, preparing salespeople to confer with customers about needed services or products, consulting with customers to determine their wants and needs, presenting products to fulfill them, obtaining credit approval, and preparing delivery documentation. Throughout the process, the Finance Manager must practice strict legal compliance and ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

• Works with the general manager to determine which lenders and suppliers of finance products will best meet the criteria set by the Finance Department.
• Establishes rapport with customers, reviews their credit application and credit report, and discusses available finance options to meet their needs.
• Prepares delivery documentation, including loan documents, DMV paperwork, and other legal forms required by state and federal regulatory bodies once financial arrangements are finalized.
• Utilizes a menu to present available product options to customers, counseling them based on the initial customer interview. This includes products such as credit insurance, extended warranties, anti-theft devices, and appearance protection kits.
• Discloses all aspects of the sale to the customer, including finance charges and interest rates.
• Maintains a high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) with the dealership’s customers, as required by automobile manufacturers.
• Keeps the pending and delivered report updated daily.
• Sets personal sales goals—both short-term and long-term—and reviews monthly and annual forecasts.
• Continuously learns about products and shares successes while working on solutions to problem areas.
• Ensures punctuality, professional appearance, and preparedness for each workday.
• Verifies all necessary paperwork is correct for each customer and keeps the office supplied with the correct forms for customer transactions.
