About the Role

The Dining Room Attendant assists the service staff in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of guest dining areas and restaurant beverage stations. This position may also work as a cashier to cover breaks or entire shifts, requiring a positive demeanor and pleasant attitude toward all guests and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Tribal, Federal, and gaming regulations, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of guest service by listening and responding to guest and team member concerns.
  • Wipe tables and seats with sanitized cloths, replace dirty tablecloths, and set tables with clean linen, condiments, and silverware.
  • Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry them to kitchens for cleaning.
  • Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, and equipment in food service areas; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors.
  • Make coffee, refill dispensers, and replenish clean linen, silverware, glassware, and dishes in assigned areas.
  • Supply service bars with missing food items, beverages, or utensils.
  • Assist guests with requests such as ice water, milk, butter, condiments, utensils, and tableware.
  • Transfer food, supplies, and dishes between food venues using carts.
  • Run errands and deliver food orders to offices.
  • Greet guests and provide quick, attentive, friendly, and professional service.
  • Handle guest issues promptly and professionally, communicating problems to management.
  • Maintain knowledge of menus, promotions, programs, and gaming options (Slots, Poker, Bingo) to inform guests.
  • Work as a cashier when required, including handling tills, balancing cash, and submitting cash equivalents to Revenue Audit.
  • Demonstrate and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
  • Maintain security of confidential information.
  • Attend and complete all required training.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31, IRS Currency Transaction Reports, and Anti-Money Laundering policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Restaurant experience (preferred).
  • Guest service experience (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and oral); Spanish or other language skills a plus.
  • Qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and Native American preference observed.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, bend for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, talk, and listen.
  • Must concentrate for prolonged periods.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Must communicate effectively in person or using telecommunications equipment.
  • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate keyboards, touch-screen displays, telephones, and calculators.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Casino floor and normal office setting.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment with frequent public contact.
  • Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels; may be exposed to high noise levels.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • May work under pressure and stressful conditions.
  • May be exposed to risks when resolving issues with difficult guests or irate staff.
  • Exposure to various types of lighting, including artificial, fluorescent, flashing, strobe, and colored lights.
  • Travel may be required to perform essential functions.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including a successful background check.
  • Must provide authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation for commuting.
  • Must comply with KLEC handbook, internal policies, and gaming regulations.
  • Must participate in the tip reporting program.
