Reports to Food & Beverage Supervisor.

About the Role

Expo and Food Runners support restaurant servers by ensuring plates are assembled correctly before leaving the kitchen and delivering food items to designated tables. Duties include communicating with servers, carrying food from the expediting counter to the correct table, and assisting with cleanup after service. Team members must maintain a positive demeanor and pleasant attitude toward all guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable Tribal, Federal, and gaming regulations, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
• Maintain the highest standards of guest service by listening and responding to guest and team member concerns.
• Deliver food orders rapidly and accurately to customers.
• Check in with customers to ensure satisfaction and relay feedback to management.
• Ensure patrons have all necessary tableware before leaving the table.
• Handle impromptu customer requests.
• Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.
• Demonstrate and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
• Manage and secure confidential information.
• Attend and complete all required training.
• Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31, IRS Currency Transaction Reports, and Anti-Money Laundering policies.
• Maintain accurate MTL, MIL, CTR, and SAR records as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Restaurant experience (preferred).
• Guest service experience (preferred).
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English; Spanish or other language skills a plus.

Qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native American preference is observed.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, bend for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, talk, and listen.
• Must concentrate for prolonged periods.
• Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Must communicate effectively in person or via telecommunications equipment.
• Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate equipment.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
• Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.

Work Environment

• Normal restaurant/kitchen setting and casino floor with temperature control and varying noise levels.
• May be exposed to high noise levels, artificial lighting (including fluorescent, flashing, strobe, and colored lights), and stressful conditions.
• Extended hours and irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• May be exposed to risks when resolving issues with difficult guests or irate staff.
• Travel may be required to perform essential functions.

Conditions of Employment

• Must obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including a successful background check.
• Must provide authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must comply with KLEC handbook, internal policies, and gaming regulations.
• Must participate in the tip reporting program (for tipped positions only).
