About the role
Skamania Lodge is a Pacific Northwest resort set on 175 acres, featuring treehouses, glamping, golf, ziplining, a spa, and multiple restaurants. With over 22,000 sq. ft. of event space, it’s a premier destination for retreats, conferences, and celebrations.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for all food and beverage operations, including restaurants, lounges, banquet facilities, catering, and beverage programs.
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining strong cost controls and profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department leaders and team members through coaching, training, and succession planning.
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and consistently high service standards.
- Oversee banquet and catering operations supporting conferences, corporate retreats, weddings, and social events.
- Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu development, seasonal offerings, and innovative dining experiences that showcase the Pacific Northwest.
- Develop and execute annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Monitor labor productivity, food cost, beverage cost, and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal food safety and beverage regulations.
- Foster a culture focused on colleague engagement, accountability, and service excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience in a full-service hotel, resort, or conference center environment.
- Prior experience as a Director of Food & Beverage preferred.
- Demonstrated success overseeing multiple food and beverage outlets and significant banquet/catering operations.
- Experience managing large-scale conference, convention, and social event business.
- Strong financial acumen with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and profitability.
- Proven ability to lead and develop large, multi-department teams.
- Knowledge of food trends, wine and beverage programs, and elevated guest experiences.
- Luxury, independent resort, or destination resort experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
