About the Role
This Food and Beverage Attendant position covers the middle ground between front-of-house and back-of-house operations in our F&B Cabins. You’ll contribute to kitchen, dining, cashier, and cooking duties while being scheduled in a specific role daily, reporting directly to a leader.

Responsibilities
- Precisely and consistently deliver guest food orders by following recipes and instructions from the Executive Chef, Outlet Chef, and Sous Chefs.
- Maintain high output of work to meet business demand, prepare plate menu items as ordered, and ensure strict attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Safely prepare food using knives, ovens, grills, warming trays, and other restaurant cooking instruments in accordance with culinary standards.
- Follow checklists to prepare and stock ingredients, set up mis en place per posted instructions, and prepare recipes per standardized recipes and production sheets.
- Communicate courteously and professionally with associates, management, clients, and others in line with Alterra Mountain Company brand and standards.
- Respond to requests from the outlet chef, sous chef, or executive chef to complete tasks such as preparation work, dishwashing, cooking, plating, sanitizing, transporting food deliveries, and maintaining a neat, sanitized workstation.
- Assist the culinary team with ordering, inventory, recipe card preparation, menu development, and staff scheduling.
- Report spoilage or shortages to the sous chef immediately.
- Maintain walk-in coolers in accordance with Snowshoe and WV Department of Health standards.
- At the end of service, store all perishable foods in covered containers and refrigerate; clean station and follow closing instructions from the sous chef.
- Assist with assigning tasks, addressing complaints, and resolving problems in the absence of superiors.
- May be assigned to other special projects as required.
- Collect payments, compute items and services sold, and ensure correct revenue input into the cash system.
- Record amounts received and transactions on daily reports, balancing reports to the cash register tape.
- Control proper distribution of revenue, close checks to the correct payment type, and ensure closing reports are balanced.
- Help management control sales, ensure all items are rung up and accounted for, and contribute to team effort.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- No previous experience required.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Pay
$12.00 per hour.
Schedule
Seasonal work from the end of November/beginning of December, with positions available throughout the season. May require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
