Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring positive guest interactions at Aspen Skiing Company's restaurants. This position is part of the Aspen Skiing Company family, which includes Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk. The company prides itself on balancing the resort, community, and environment, offering guests a unique experience combining nature, culture, and recreation.
Essential Job Functions
- Follow designated opening/closing procedures for the restaurant, including housekeeping functions for restaurant and restroom areas
- Engage with guests, assisting them as needed to meet their needs
- Utilize a point of sale (POS) system to accurately charge guests and apply discounts
- Alert the Restaurant Manager to discrepancies with pricing or other guest concerns/comments
- Clean and clear tables efficiently, pre-bussing items at busy times to turn tables quickly
- Ensure all food items are stocked and alert the manager to items that are out of stock
- Maintain cleanliness of bus stations, including removing trash and recycling
- Complete tasks and projects delegated by the manager and assist other departments as needed
Qualifications
- Must be over 16 years of age
- Proficient guest service experience is preferred
- Ability to communicate and follow oral or written directions in English is required
- Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level is required for employees of ski in/ski out restaurants in winter
- Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
- Ability to remain focused, organized, flexible, and detail-oriented
- Follows all safety policies and procedures and exercises caution when working
Additional Information
- Work Environment & Physical Demands: Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time; Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces; Must be able to continually lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance; Certain locations will require an employee to ski or snowboard
